Entertainment venues are a category of their own — high traffic, high noise, high energy, high regulation. moodesign has designed leisure destinations including Planet Claw arcade and the Clip n Climb Laval climbing center, and we know that this category sits at the intersection of branding, safety code and operational endurance.

Whether you're launching a family entertainment center, a trampoline park, an escape room complex, an indoor playground or a multi-attraction venue, we bring the spatial planning, brand storytelling and permit experience needed to open and operate.

Why entertainment centers need specialized interior design

  • Wayfinding under noise — your visitors won't read small signs. Color, lighting and floor zoning carry the navigation.
  • Durable finishes — surfaces have to survive thousands of hands, shoes and falls every week. Material selection is half the design brief.
  • Sightlines for safety — staff must see every play zone from control points. The plan is dictated by line-of-sight, not just aesthetics.
  • Acoustic management — arcades, climbing walls and play zones generate cumulative noise. Ceiling treatment and zone separation save the neighbors and the staff.
  • Code compliance — fire egress, occupancy load, attraction clearances, accessibility (ramps, harness lanes, observation seating).
  • Photogenic moments — entertainment is sold by social media. We design at least one Instagram-grade hero moment per venue.

Selected entertainment projects

Planet Claw

Multi-location arcade concept anchored by the iconic claw machine. A high-impact, color-driven environment built to attract teens and families across the Greater Montreal area.

Clip n Climb (Laval)

Indoor climbing destination — bold color zoning to differentiate routes, durable finishes for high-traffic floors, and observation seating for parents and birthday parties.

Sectors we design for

  • Family entertainment centers (FEC) and amusement parks (indoor)
  • Arcades, claw-machine venues and ticket-redemption centers
  • Indoor climbing gyms and bouldering walls
  • Trampoline parks and indoor playgrounds
  • Escape rooms and immersive experience venues
  • Bowling, billiards and karaoke lounges
  • Nightclubs and music venues
  • Birthday-party and event spaces

Permit work for entertainment venues

Entertainment venues are heavily regulated. We deliver permit-ready drawings for occupation permits, conversion permits (often a former retail unit becomes a FEC) and renovation permits, and we coordinate with attraction-equipment suppliers for the technical clearance dimensions required by their warranty documents.
