Complete Interior Design Services

moodesign assumes the complete production of the documents necessary for the realization of the developed concept. Thus:

What is included in a complete interior design mandate

  • Renderings & perspectives — Creation of 3D renderings to validate the design and visualize it effectively.
  • Material, furniture and accessory research — sourced from our trusted supplier network.
  • Development and construction plans — Complete set of preliminary and construction drawings for contractor and subcontractor bidding, as well as for the construction of the entire interior design project:
    • Drawings for millwork, partitions, ceilings, flooring, doors, and hardware
    • Electrical and lighting plan
    • Plumbing and ventilation equipment layout plan
    • Finishes plan (wall coverings, flooring, ceilings, murals)
    • Custom furniture plan (cabinetry, glazing, metalwork)
  • Tender requests — Request for bids from general contractors and various specialized subcontractors, as well as for finishing materials such as flooring, ceramics, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, wallpaper, and fabrics.
  • Procurement and on-site supervision — Monitoring of the project's progress, including site visits at strategic junctures to ensure adherence to the plans and to resolve any unforeseen issues that may arise along the way.

moodesign works hand-in-hand with the trades essential to project execution: general contractors, sub-trades, suppliers and skilled artisans across Greater Montreal.

Hourly-billed professional services

Not every project requires a full interior design service package under contract. That is why we also offer professional services billed by the hour, in specific cases where this proves to be more appropriate and equitable.

For example: space planning development, support for the initial validation stages of your project, or the production of visual documentation and plans aimed at standardizing the development of an interior design concept for a commercial restaurant franchise.

We can help you produce a layout plan to preliminarily assess the feasibility of a residential renovation or of a commercial project, including the lease of a commercial space in a shopping center, as well as supporting the preliminary study for obtaining potential alteration, renovation, or occupancy permits. These services are also available for residential renovation projects.

However, please note that, depending on the nature of the project, the involvement of an architect may subsequently be required for the production of sealed plans and for permit applications to municipal authorities.
